Composition |
| Ian studied composition at Cambridge with Alan Ridout and Robin Orr, and subsequently with Nadia Boulanger in France. He continues to write music; published works include an anthem for the centenary of Hymers College and choral works for Cumbria Rural Choirs, the Abbey Singers and the Carliol Choir. Recent commissions have included a cantata in five movements for 2020 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Wordsworth. |
